We’re recruiting a Senior Digital Strategist

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Digital Strategist to take our agency to the next level. They will lead our digital strategy for Live SA, Livity Africa plus client campaigns. We work with partners and clients such as the British Council, Google, Red Bull, Mr Price, Omidyar Network, ENCA, Canon, the People’s Assembly and IAB SA to deliver authentic youth campaigns.

You need to have passion for, and excellent knowledge of, the digital landscape, trends and technology as well as technical knowledge of digital campaigns; mobile; campaign reporting and Google Analytics; email campaigns and software; Google AdWords; search engine optimisation; social media marketing; digital content; content management systems and managing website development projects.

You require a proven ability to grow digital audiences and drive engagement, preferably for a youth audience.

Job Title: Senior Digital Strategist

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, and ensure delivery, on Livity Africa and Live SA’s digital strategy plus for client campaigns. Manage all aspects of digital including social media, mobile, digital content, search engine optimisation (including AdWords campaigns) and email campaigns
  • Manage the digital infrastructure for Livity Africa, Live SA and client campaigns including relationships with external digital agencies
  • Oversee two campaign executives and start to finish campaigns
  • Set targets for Livity Africa, Live SA’s and client campaigns
  • Oversee all digital reporting and reconciliation
  • Manage our digital audience and insights programme
  • Contribute to proposals and presentations for potential clients
  • Oversee the training and mentorship of Live SA contributors’ and staff in their use of digital and social media
  • Work with the editorial mentors to ensure quality Live SA digital content plus implement new approaches to digital content
  • Research and introduce new digital trends and technology to the agency

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Marketing, digital or communication diploma/degree
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in marketing and/or digital
  • Experience working in an agency would be advantageous
