The creative industry is made up of a number of career opportunities available to the youth, which many are unaware of. The Arts and Culture Trust, University of Johannesburg and the British Council’s ConnectZA partnered to host an annual event called ACT/UJ Conference with the aim of amplifying successful creative voices, showing how #CreativesMakeItHappen and inspiring young people to pursue careers in the creative industry.

Livity Africa was tasked with being a media partner for ConnectZA during the 3 day event. The conference included 50 local and international presenters and panellists from different creative disciplines sharing their insights and experiences with participants.

Livity Africa created a social media strategy to cover the event on its online platforms leading up to, during and post conference with the objective of creating awareness and to encourage ongoing participation. This strategy was created and executed around the theme #CreativesMakeItHappen, which garnered an online reach of over 428 900 across platforms and almost 4.5 million impressions.
